Andrea Petković writes about a major shift in her life: her retirement from professional sports. And, in the process, she gets to the bottom of existential questions that we all face when confronting major life changes.

Who are you when you leave behind what you’ve dedicated your whole life to? How do you reinvent yourself? And, above all, how do you know that it’s time for this life-changing shift? It's Time to Cut and Run is a highly literarily account of a major life event that sometimes feels like a hard exit from addiction, sometimes like a painful farewell to the only day-to-day life she’s ever known, and sometimes like the joyful beginning of a new life beyond the constraints of professional sports. A step that, for Andrea Petković, typifies the major leave-takings and transformations that are an inevitable part of life.
