Zettl – Unbeatably Characterless

Max Zettl, young and quick thinking, is determined to make it in the capital at any cost. Full of charm and devoid of any scruples, he makes it from chauffeur to chief editor of a new online publication and imme-diately uncovers a political scandal.

At last, twenty-five years after the cult series ‘Kir Royal’, Helmut Dietl hurls himself back into the world of frantic gossip reporters. This time Dietl has it in for the highly amusing world of the Berlin media republic.

Helmut Dietl and his co-author Benjamin v. Stuckrad-Barre succeed in creating a brilliant satire of the rich and powerful, the beautiful and the shameless, the ‘would-be’ socialites and the complete idiots of the Berlin Republic. A cascade of punch lines, that give a highly amusing answer to the question ‘Who rules our country?’

A superb society satire with numerous photos from the set and “Behind the scenes”-reports from Helmut Dietl and Benjamin v. Stuckrad-Barre.
