Nox, lat. Night is about the German night, the night the Wall fell. In constantly fresh episodes, Thomas Hettche, who spent 1989 in Berlin, writes about physical desire and violence with both documentary precision and beguiling sensuality. 9 November 1989: the night the Wall fell, after which nothing was ever the same again – neither for the divided city nor for a young murderer fleeing from her deed. Sucked into the nocturnal delirium of Berlin, in which everything is lit as brightly as day, she ends up in a round dance of debauchery. With atmospheric precision and disturbing sensuality, Thomas Hettche sketches out his dark vision of Berlin.
