CobyCounty is perhaps the most beautiful place in the world. An artificial utopia catering to the refined and expensive tastes of the wealthy creative class. Every spring, creative people from all nations flock to CobyCounty, the famous seaside town once founded by a cosmetics company and now promising a sunny and progressive life of prosperity.

26-year-old Wim Endersson was born in CobyCounty, is in a relationship with pianist Carla and works as a literary agent. Seemingly content, he thinks back on the sensual makeouts, tragic breakups, and debauched dance parties of his long youth. But when his best friend Wesley, whose mother has turned to neo-spiritualism, leaves town on a prophecy, Wim's CobyCounty threatens to change forever. A magnetic train derails, a storm is brewing, the signs are gathering...

This is apocalypse light, nothing more. Leif Randt permits us no escape from his sinister shower-gel-paradise, no subterfuge à la Truman Show and certainly no big bang. It is just all too consistent. And apart from anything else it is always extremely funny. - Christoph Schröder for Litrix.de
