A luminous literary tribute to the British prog rock band Genesis 

In January 1974, Genesis tour Germany with their then-current album “Selling England By The Pound.” In the audience: 13-year-old Mimi, who will never forget her first concert – and not just because of the music. In the ladies’ room, she discovers a pair of the legendary batwings that Peter Gabriel uses for his show. Back in her small town, she decides to start a magazine for Genesis fans and receives support from an unexpected source. In the subsequent months, Mimi comes to realize that possessing batwings comes with a lot of power and magic, but also with great responsibility.

Susann Pásztor , born in Soltau in 1957, works as a freelance writer and translator in Berlin. Her debut novel Ein fabelhafter Lügner (A Fabulous Liar) was published in 2010 and has been translated into several languages. She completed training as a companion to the dying and has been carrying out this activity as a volunteer for several years.
