A glass of wine, a Torte au Riesling and to finish a piece of plum tart with cream – at the Luxemburg summer fair the former starred chef Xavier Kieffer, and his girlfriend, the food critic Valerie Gabin, are indulging themselves. But suddenly in a beer tent a stranger thrusts a magnetic card into his hand and disappears. The next morning the man is found dead under the Red Bridge. Why did he give the card to Kieffer? What is so special about the computer codes? And why are so many people after them? The Luxembourg chef suddenly finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy and realises that his girlfriend is in grave danger.
