The second adventure with the involuntary investigator and chef Xavier Kieffer
Since Luxemburg chef Xavier Kieffer has liaised with France’s most famous food critic, he gets invites to the most exclusive of events. However, the exquisite dinner at the Parisian mayor’s ends straight after the starter, when Ryunosuke Mifune, Europe’s most famous sushi chef, suddenly drops dead.
Cause of death: fish poisoning. But Kieffer is sceptical and soon discovers inconsistencies. He dips into a world of sushi cuisine and is forced to come to terms with the fact that there are types of fish that are more expensive than gold – and more valuable than a human life.
‘Read this crime story like you would enjoy a good ‘Bouneschlupp’, (Luxemburg bean stew) – preferably all at once.’ (Lea Linster on ‘Teufelsfrucht’)
