A teenager is shot dead in a drive-by shooting in the disadvantaged neighborhood of Hermodsdal. The police leadership and the press quickly decide that it’s just another tragic low point in the escalating nationwide drug gang wars. The thankless case is delegated to Jon Nordh, a recently widowed detective, and Svea Karhuu, an investigator transferred from northern Sweden for disciplinary reasons.
The two quickly find themselves caught between the fronts of the brutal turf wars for quick money, power, honor – and revenge. When the dead boy’s best friend goes into hiding, it looks like a betrayal. But after another murder, events come thick and fast, and the unlikely pair of investigators have to come together as a real team very quickly.
