Mysterious murders and famous Breton chocolatiers

Never before has Inspector Dupin been so happy to have a new case as he is on this glorious early summer's day. He is already standing with one leg on the – ominously swaying – boat in the harbour basin of Concarneau, about to overcome his thalassophobia under the guidance of a coach, when he receives a call: a woman has drowned. Not in the sea, but in a vat of chocolate.

What seems curious turns out to be the cold-blooded murder of the owner of a long-established chocolate confectionery in the Ville Close. Who was after the visionary entrepreneur, who was always on the lookout for new, refined creations? And are more people in danger?

To get to the bottom of the dark secrets of the chocolate world, Inspector Dupin and his irreplaceable colleague Nolwenn embark on a fast-paced road trip across Brittany to the Basque Country.
